Ace

Been meaning to post this one for a while but just never got around to digging up the file from where I'd stored it.

This was one I did a couple years ago for some contest. I didn't win - I don't even think I followed the rules, to be honest - but anyway I based this one on my late grandfather, who I believe I inherited my artistic inclinations from; he had scores of old notepads and sketchpads of stuff he'd drawn when he was much younger, and he wasn't too shabby at it. Of course, sicko that I am, I was always more interested in his nifty little collection of '50s-era E.C. comics like Vault Of Horror and Tales From The Crypt, but anyway...

The alt-mode is based on an old WWII-era plow that would have been used by the Seabees, my Grandpa having served with them during that time. The ball cap and shades were also one of my Grandpa's "trademarks", as was the chain bracelet he's wearing. And since my Grandpa was known as Ace to just about everybody who knew him, there's his moniker.
