Alien Concept: Arboan - Putian

More alien concept sketches...which I confess are not particularly imaginative, but to heck with it.

The top creature there is an Arboan, one of a species of tree-dwellers known for their incredible proficiency in medicines and healing. They're also capable of telling if a complete stranger is lying to them, which make them ideal choices for personal aides during diplomatic functions. Fortunately for the Arboan race, the Primazors have yet to express any sort of interest in their world - as the Primazors are loaded to the hilt with explosives and other fine incendiaries, they're not exactly in much of a need for matchsticks - but the Arboan government has pretty much come to the realization that a reckoning with the Primazors is highly probable, if not inevitable, so rather than wait for the Primazors to discover a reason why they should ravage the lush forest planet into oblivion, the ever-industrious Arboans sought out the advisement of the Alpha Guard. Arboans possess rudimentary self-defense skills at best; however, they do pack one nasty bite wherein they can infect their enemies with a particularly gruesome venom that can literally EAT an opponent from within in mere seconds. Fortunately, the Arboans are vegetarian by nature, so liquefying all those attackers will probably cause them to work up an appetite while you're fighting back the contents of your own stomach until you can find a toilet.

Then there's the Putians of the planet Celiput (I couldn't fit the full name 'Celiputians' into the title of the piece, which is a shame, since I derived the name Celiput from Silly Putty, for soon-to-be-obvious reasons...). A gelatinous species, Putians possess the ability to morph into any inorganic object they come into contact with; usually the smaller the object, the denser and more rigid their structure becomes - bullets pass right through them in their original form without any harm to them, whereas if an adult Putian decided to morph itself into your laptop, a shot at point-blank range at the screen would likely ricochet back into your own head without so much as scratching the glass. Still, they are susceptible to temperature extremes; also, they cannot replicate other organic life forms, but they CAN assimilate enough of another life form's own thought processes to be able to communicate with said life form telepathically. For the record, Putians are capable of verbal speech, by crystallizing part of their "face" into an echo chamber that re-interprets the sounds that the Putian takes in back into complete sentences of its own making.
