All The Stars Are Here... by Jochimus All The Stars Are Here... by Jochimus
"...waitin' for you, couldn't have a show without ya!"

Sorry, I couldn't resist this. I came across my old VHS tape of "Scooby-Doo Meets Batman", comprised of the two guest appearances the Super Friends-era Dynamic Duo made on The New Scooby-Doo Movies, and even though WB removed the celebrity clips from the open credits (which makes no sense where Batman and Robin were concerned, as it was THEIR compilation and WB OWNS DC Comics and Hanna-Barbera), I decided to pay homage to it by using the versions of the characters WB currently airs - namely on "The Batman" and "Shaggy And Scooby-Doo Get A Clue".

Yeah, I heard about that, and frankly I think that's going to be rather interesting.

While I think TB&TB more than any other Batman 'toon in recent years is probably most suited for something like this, on the other hand, I've yet to see a talking dog in TB&TB.

Then again, TB&TB does have a guy who talks to fish and a super-intelligent evil gorilla...:D

Cool idea. And I don't care what anyone says, I like both of those shows, so... yeah.

But then, I happen to like stuff other people don't. But that's just me.

Great picture! :) I loved Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue. The Batman wasn't bad, but I preferred Timm's version of Batman.

I think that it was appropriate that they changed Shaggy's voice actor for this series. I don't think that Casey Kasem's voice would have sounded right with the new character design. Giving him the role of Albert Shaggleford which was a nice way to pay tribute to his role in the past Scooby-Doo series.

Amazingly, this is EXACTLY (to a tee) the artwork I was going to do for someone who requested one of these.
Now I have to think of something original...

Great idea to update that old nostalgic image! Well done too! I can't believe you actually used Shag and Scoob from 'Get a Clue'! Awesome!

Oh this has made my day...They changed Batman's chin in the fourth season for the more traditonal squared jaw look, but other than that, great.
DOGzilla98 Featured By Owner Jul 28, 2008
You know... DC should at least re-make this team up.
Jochimus Featured By Owner Jul 28, 2008
Eh, I dunno. A talking dog worked great for the Super Friends era, but now I'm not so sure it'd work.

Then again, the new Batman cartoon coming out is a team-up show with humor to it and him playing straight man throughout, so in that regard I suppose it MIGHT work...
DOGzilla98 Featured By Owner Jul 28, 2008
Yea. Let's hope it does. I mean they had Batman vs Dracula recently after many classic remakes.
Yup. I'm Looking foward to the latest series.

Wow I had the same VHS and watched it again and again! I can't say much for Get a Clue (other than I like the style the characters are drawn in). As for The Batman, I became very fond of the show somewhere during it's third season.
Oh and I love this drawing!

 That's pretty funny and modern. I gotta admit I don't watch Get a Clue, but I do miss The Batman now that the series is over. Nice job.:)

kamenriderace Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2007
Wasn't there TWO episodes where BatMan and Robin made an appearance? The first one involved a counterfeiting operation on the part of The Penguin and The Joker, and the other one, as I recall, concerned the theft of a flight suit.
Jochimus Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2007
Yep. There were two. Actually, four, since in the original half-hour format each story was divvied up into two episodes cliffhanger-style. Joker and Penguin were in both stories, although in the counterfeit operation they essentially served as flunkies who would pass the money, whereas the plan to steal Prof. Flakey's flight-suit was entirely their idea.
kamenriderace Featured By Owner Oct 25, 2007
And the irony of it all is: Hanna-Barbera decided to do The Super Friends about two years later. I STILL remember the episodes where they had those teenage interns and their dog before they were replaced by the equally crappy Wonder Twins ("Wonder Twins Powers...ACTIVATE!!")
