Another paste-up from my previous pieces, this time focusing on the other half of the moral coin in the Big Apricot:
Top Row L to R:
* Lex Luthor, wealthy scientist positioned to take over the tech firm he's been consulting for, with much bigger - and political - aims; * Mercy Graves, Lex's bodyguard...and chauffeur...and personal aide...and...well...she's just Lex's. * General Zod, military advisor from Krypton, who cast himself into the Phantom Zone to save his life and those of... * Ursa, a parolee on work-release helping rebuild in the aftermath of the revolution led by Jax-Ur, and * Non, also a parolee on the same work-release program, both employed by Zod; * Bruno "Ugly" Mannheim, chief of Metropolis' growing Intergang advanced crime organization; * Vril Dox, Coluan cyborg administrator of the Brainiac computer network on countless now-dead worlds; * Toyman/Winslow Schott, toymaker who loses his job when Luthor takes over Websco Industries; * Nathaniel Hardcastle, Federal agent who has tracked Kal-El relentlessly since his stardrive crashed in Kansas back in 1984; * Parasite/Rudy Jones, STAR Labs janitor engulfed in Luthor's Kryptonian-DNA-based ' Parasite Compound' during a staged hit on the lab by Intergang; * Bizarro, a CADMUS-created clone of Superman who, while not really evil, is dangerously misguided in his attempts to prove himself superior to his "imperfect duplicate"; * Luminus/Edward Lytner, the radiation expert formerly contracted by Luthor to extrapolate Kal-El's weakness to red solar rays.
Bottom Row L to R: * Metallo/John Corben, former AmerTek advisor and gunrunner, whose neuron transfer into Websco's Kryptonite-powered robotoid has given him a god complex; * Prankster/Oswald Loomis, former morning kiddie show host who got canned by WGBS once the kids latched on the superheroics of a certain Last Son of Krypton; * Dabney Donovan, former director of Project CADMUS, creator of Dubbilex, and all-around nut; * Silver Banshee/Siobhan McDougal, born to an occult clan and searching for the key to usurping its leadership; * Mongul, alien proprietor of the Warworld competitive combat franchise, looking to convert Earth into a new location based on its "ripeness" for such a pursuit; * Mr. Mxyzptlk, arrogant 5th-Dimensional imp who delights in tormenting Kal-El every 90 days; * Tobias Manning, oil heir whose environmentalist fiance died in the fallout of a superhuman clash, and blames Kal-El for inciting the rise of such beings into public prominence; * Livewire/Leslie Willis, veejay who thinks of Kal-El as some establishment tool, and uses her accidental acquisition of electric powers in subversive fashion; * Cybron/Hank Henshaw - sole survivor of a mission to use nanites to neutralize a Kryptonite asteroid, they reversed the damage to his body by converting him into a cyborg able to duplicate all of Kal-El's powers; * Composite/Xander Meach, ex-con arrested by Superman and Batman whose father died while he was imprisoned, he found a data crystal left over from Dox's Skullship at the bottom of Hobs Bay and coerced Professor Hamilton into encoding its energies into his own body.
I like your Brainiac here, it has his elements in a new form. I remember reading from another post you disliked Mongul and others' designs since they were 'too human' looking for aliens. I like the look, its different from what I have seen. Overall, I like these a lot. How's your Darksied?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
