More Superman Stuff

Superman is the property of Time-Warner/DC, the Siegel/Shuster estates, etc., etc.

I can't help it. When I run out of ideas for stuff of my own to draw, I tinker with established favorites hoping it'll get my back on track. Hence more Superman redesigning.

Here I have Brainiac as, essentially, a bug-creature. Bugs are pretty popular as the basis for space aliens, and plus I think maybe I was along the line of thought that it would seem to fit his whole drone-hive bit that DC's had him on lately. I gave him familiar colors, of course, and even gave him an insect-skull spaceship to boot (note scale to cityscape in bottom left corner).

Then I have Metallo back in line with the 'polyalloy skin' motif that I had gotten on to when I did [link] --- only here I gave him an orange prison jumpsuit with the collar flared open in a nod to his typical Silver Age look (I suppose I probably shoulda torn the short sleeves off to better help the effect).
